Program Notes: The once great pillars of decency seem to be eroding faster and faster before our eyes. We’re told to revere the illusion of a bygone dream in order to maintain order. But perhaps order needs to be disrupted. Reverence, Lost plays with varying levels of controlled notation and improvisation, metered rhythm and freely felt time, intricate specificity and “completely letting loose”. The listener should simply allow the piece to unfold as they listen and are swept into complete chaos.
