Visions of a Prayer
For String Orchestra
Duration: 7'15"
Written December 2012 - January 2013
Program Notes:
Whenever we say a prayer, we release our inner most thoughts and emotions. We invoke our beliefs and emotions upon a higher being in light of the world around us. It’s truly a time when we can mix the darkest moments of our lives in with the most beautiful moments as well. “Visions of a Prayer” was inspired by the thoughts that we have when we pray and the inner struggles that we as human beings face every day both internally
with our own emotions and also externally with the world that we exist in. It was conceived in the aftermath of the shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut.
